The Civil Liberties Union defends the constitutional rights of all individuals. It will help you understand your right if you are stopped by the police, Immigration, Homeland Security or the FBI.

The Legal Aid Society of Nassau County provides free legal representation to persons who are unable to hire attorneys and are facing criminal prosecution by the State of New York in Nassau County. It also features a small practice providing assistance to those with active cases in the Nassau Family Court who are unable to retain attorneys to deal with matters such as child custody and child support.

LatinoJustice PRLDEF, has won landmark civil rights cases in education, housing, voting, migrant, immigrant, employment and other civil rights.

The Department of Justice‘s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) is dedicated to community policing.
